The following are the core beliefs of Response to Grace based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical truths.
ADMIT:
We admit that we are sinners unable to attain salvation by our own means. We acknowledge that Jesus is the one who provides for us a means for salvation. Therefore, we accept the unmerited, undeserved, free gift of eternal life offered to us through faith in Jesus. (Romans 3:23-24) (Romans 6:23) (Romans 5:10)
BELIEVE:
We believe that we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and not by our own efforts. We believe that Jesus died for the sins of the world by death on the cross, that He is risen from the dead, and that He is Lord over heaven and earth. We believe that by faith in Him we too have been risen from a living state of death into the truest state of life unto eternal life. (Romans 10:9-10) (Ephesians 2:8-9)
COMMIT:
Now that we are new creation in Jesus Christ, we are committed to modeling our lives after His teachings by allowing the Spirit to mold and transform us through the daily renewing of the mind into the expressed image of God. (Proverbs 16:3) (2 Corinthians 5:17)
DISCIPLE:
As members of the Kingdom of heaven, and disciples of Jesus Christ, we will continue to love and serve others before ourselves, just as Christ modeled and taught, so that others might come to know Jesus and the good news of the gospel. The fullness of the Christian life is expressing our love for God in service to others. It is in following Christ’s example that we are called to live out this gospel of peace in every aspect of daily living. Therefore, we will actively make disciples by sharing the good news of the Gospel of peace not just with our words, but also in the many ways we participate in the various communities we are a part of. (Matthew 28:19-20) (Luke 9:23) (Mark 12:30-31)
